Fine Fettle is our showcase build for appointment-led local businesses: a complete, deployed website for a fictional York barbershop. Poster-scale typography, an ink and oxblood identity, art-directed interior imagery, a price list that doubles as structured data and a booking form that texts back show how a barbershop site should earn its chair time.

Visit siteFine Fettle Barber Co. is a fictional four-chair barbershop on Fossgate in York, invented in full to show what we build for appointment-led local businesses: the founders and their Thirsk farm-auction chairs, the price list, the door policy and two proper journal articles were all written for the project, with art-directed imagery generated to match one consistent ink, oxblood and brass interior.
The design leads with type: a poster-scale stacked wordmark over the shop itself, Bebas Neue display over Karla body, and an animated barber-pole stripe dividing every dark section from every light one, with reduced-motion fallbacks throughout. The price list reads like the board on the wall and doubles as Service schema with real prices.
Under the surface it ships BarberShop local business schema with opening hours, per-page metadata and canonicals, BlogPosting markup on the journal, a generated sitemap and robots, and a booking form with a proper success state. Statically prerendered Next.js, deployed on Vercel with automatic deploys from GitHub.
